The Ambassador visits Oita, Fukuoka and Kumamoto
Her Excellency Ms Rabab Fatima, Bangladesh Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan visited the prefectures of Oita, Fukuoka and Kumamoto. During her visit to these three prefectures, she chaired a seminar on “Economy and Human Resource Development of Bangladesh 2017” in Fukuoka on 12 September 2017 which was attended by over 100 representatives of Japanese companies, and supported by IM Japan, METI, the Chambers, JETRO and the Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce.
She visited the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and held a very productive meeting with the President Mr. Shun Korenaga. They later jointly launched the APU Bangladesh Alumni Society. She also met with the Bangladeshi students at the University, which now constitutes the highest number of students from Bangladesh in any Japanese university.
The Ambassador also had meetings with Mr. Katsusada Hirose, Governor of Oita Prefecture; Mr. Kiyokata Himeno, President of Oita Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Mr. Kazufumi Onishi, Mayor of Kumamoto. She also had interactions with the Bangladesh community of Kumamoto and Fukuoka.
